Glenn Mitchell - 1st Runner-Up

Bio - Glenn Mitchell 

Glenn grew up in the Comox Valley. He was married in Vancouver while working, studying architecture and playing music there. Glenn and his wife traveled for a couple of years but settled back on the Island, first in Duncan and then back to Comox to raise a family (2 boys). 

Glenn played in local weekend bands as a teen (playing music by Buddy Holly, Everly Bros, Beatles, Rolling Stones. etc.) and in cover bands throughout the years. This supplemented his income as a home designer and builder. (Mitchell Design) 

The last band Glenn was in was the Courtenay based Time Well Wasted where he played lead guitar in this 12 piece funk/horn cover, dance band.  

For the last few years Glenn has found his true passion, recording original songs in his home studio. Although he has about three CD's worth of material, he has not released one as of yet and prefers to sell online, as he is not touring or playing live currently.

Serious Coffee’s Note: Glenn is one talented individual and we were fortunately to have experienced him live at our wrap-up party. He was gracious enough to sing a couple of songs resulting in loud cheers from the crowd. We hope that he continues to make music for a long time to come! Thanks for being a part of our contest!
