Serious Coffee was founded in Duncan, BC, in 1994, and has since expanded to 16 locations across Vancouver Island, Powell River, and New Westminster.
We take pride in sourcing only the finest Arabica beans from around the world, including regions like Mexico, Kenya, and Colombia. Our selection has grown to include organic, fairly-traded, and Swiss Water Decaf options, ensuring that our customers always have access to the best quality coffee that aligns with ethical and sustainable practices.

Our dedication to flavor is reflected in our unique air roasting method, which sets us apart from conventional roasting techniques. Using air rather than flames, we prevent the bitter or burnt taste often associated with dark roasts, resulting in a smoother, more enjoyable coffee experience.
In addition to roasting, we operate our own bakery adjacent to the roasting plant, allowing us to offer fresh, high-quality baked goods alongside our coffee. As a locally-owned franchise, we are passionate about giving back to the communities we serve. Our cafés are owned by individuals who live and work in their respective areas, and we actively support local initiatives through fundraising, donations, and partnerships, strengthening our connection to the community.
