Since our inception, Serious Coffee has been a proud supporter of grassroots initiatives. We offer a range of support to non-profit organizations and fundraising efforts across Vancouver Island, Powell River and the Lower Mainland.

Past Events

Event Services

Serious Coffee is always delighted to participate in local events organized by or on behalf of non-profit organizations across Vancouver Island. To streamline the request process, we have designed a dedicated form (below) for those interested in serving our coffee at their event.

Criteria:

Requests must be submitted at least 2 months prior to the event date.
The event must be hosted on behalf of a Vancouver Island-based non-profit organization.

Please note that Serious Coffee reserves the right to decline any requests and may withdraw support for any event at its discretion.

Donation Requests

From the beginning, we recognized that the best way to express our gratitude is by giving back to the local organizations working tirelessly to improve our communities. As an Island-based company, we are proud to collaborate with our locally owned cafés to help you make a meaningful impact, one community at a time.

Each year, Serious Coffee receives hundreds of requests for community support from various organizations. While we greatly value the efforts of each group, we are unable to accommodate every request. Please note that requests for cash donations will not be considered.

Key Information

To be eligible for any type of donation, including auction items, your application must meet the following criteria:

You must be a not-for-profit organization located on Vancouver Island, Powell River or the Lower Mainland.
The event or project must directly benefit the community in which it is being held and align with one of the following focus areas:
1. Health & Wellness
2. Sports
3. Youth
4. Arts & Culture
5. Animal Welfare (e.g., S.P.C.A.)
Requests must be submitted at least 2 months before the event date.
All requests must include a valid email address, as email is our primary mode of communication.

Applications Not Eligible for Community Support

We do not consider the following for donations:

Requests for cash
Organizations unable to provide detailed success measures
Groups that have already received a donation or sponsorship within the current year
Individual or business ventures
Professional sports teams
Fundraising efforts for subsequent redistribution to other charities or individuals
Political organizations or affiliated activities
Conferences or seminars
Salaries or operating expenses
Requests submitted directly to a café instead of Head Office
Requests submitted through means other than our website

If your request meets these criteria, please submit the required information by completing the form below.

Additional Information

Donation requests are reviewed within one month of submission.
Serious Coffee reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding which groups receive support.
Given the high volume of requests, our goal is to support a fair and diverse range of community organizations.
Not all applications will be approved.
Due to the number of submissions, only those applications that receive preliminary approval will be contacted.
